More than 130 Taliban affiliates killed and wounded in Ghazni

Local officials in Ghazni province say that more than 130 Taliban-linked insurgents have been killed or wounded during government forces’ recent airial and ground raids.

In an airial operation conducted by Afghan forces in Karizno area of Gilan district, at least 70 Taliban linked insurgents were killed and 60 others were wounded, Ghazni police chief Aminullah Amar Khel said.

He added that the insurgents were gathering at a training camp of the insurgent group in Karizno area of Gilan district when targeted by Afghan forces.

The training camp of the group was completly ruined and 35 vehicles of the insurgents were also destroyed.

Moreover, at least 20 other insurgents were killed and 25 others were wounded during Afghan forces’ ground operations in Andar district of the province, Amar Khel added.

On the other hand, Taliban insurgents claim they have taken the lives of 13 Afghan soldiers in Andar district and inflicted injuries to 20 others.

They have yet to make any comment regarding Afghan forces’ airial operations in Gilan district.
