15 killed in southern Libya tribal clashes

At least 15 people were killed in tribal clashes on Thursday in the southern Libyan city Sebha, Libyan official news agency LANA reported on Friday.

The deadly clashes occurred between members of Tabu and Tuareg tribes, two large rival tribes in southern Libya.

The report further added that three others had also been killed on Wednesday.

Tribal clashes have claimed the lives of over 60 people in the city in a month, according to the city statistics.

Sebha, Libya’s largest southern city, has been witnessing escalating violence and similar clashes between the two rival tribe members, despite government and elders reconciliation efforts.
