According to local officials the bombings happened in Nad Ali district and Lashkargah city of Helmand province.
“Three soldiers were killed, and 10 others were wounded.” Helmand provincial governor’s spokesman Omar Zowak announced.
According to Zowak the first car bomb targeted an army camp and three soldiers were killed and two others were wounded.
“In the second incident in Kart-e-Lagan area of Lashkargah city in PD2 including women and children eight people were wounded,” Zowak added.
The second car bomb was detonated nearly three hours after the first explosion and was close to an NDS office. Residents said a Mazda vehicle had been used.
Local officials said that in the second car bombing one soldier was killed and ten others including women and children were wounded.
Taliban claimed responsibility for both attacks in Helmand.
