32 killed, 123 wounded in election day attacks

At least 32 people were killed and 123 others wounded as a result of 113 attacks on election day across the country.

The National Directorate of Security (NDS) said intelligence agents had been ableto prevent dozens of militant attacks.

On Saturday, voting started at 7am and ended at 5pm under strong security. At least 13 candidates contested the presidential election.

Based on information from different sources, 64 of the attacks were claimed by the Taliban and 59 others remained unclaimed.
