4-day deadline set for Govt to unearth Kunduz airstrike individuals

The residents of Dasht-i-Archi district in northern Kunduz province has set four-day deadline to the government to unearth the perpetrators of recent airstrike and punish them according to the law.

Scores of people, including children, had been killed and some injured as a result of Afghan security forces airstrike on a Madressa in Dasht-i-Archi district ten days back.

The residents of Dasht-i-Archi have formed a 20-member commission for the investigation and follow up of the airstrike.

Farid Ahmad Kakar, head of the local commission, said the government took no step regarding the Dasht-i-Archi incident.

“The government should accept that over 80 people were killed and 186 injured in the Afghan forces airstrike,” he said.

He added the government had time until coming week to unearth the accused individuals and treat them according to the law.
