Abdullah was speaking during a ceremony that marked graduation of 400 from a 12-month internship program under USAID’s Promote.
Abdullah urged the graduates to work for reform, meritocracy and fight against corruption and discrimination.
“You can be initiators of a major change,” Abdullah said.
Nader Nadery, chairman of Independent Administrative Reform and Civil Service Commission, expressed concern about low participation of women in governance.
He, however, said that there were plans to increase women’s participation in governance and step up their safety.
