The activists in a gathering claimed that Taliban insurgents, after seizure of Kunduz, tortured innocent people, destroyed and torched public properties. They stressed that lives of thousands of dwellers of the city are in danger.
Abdul Wodood Pedram an activist, said that residents of Kunduz city are living in a very critical condition and are deprived of basic facilities.
“Human rights are being violated; people have no access to healthcare services, water and food. The militants have set on fire government buildings,” he said.
Sidiqullah Tawhidi, another participant of the session, said that Taliban insurgents have captured houses of government employees, looted stores and banks.
He said that the government should take immediate action to retake Kunduz city. He added that delay in military operations will prove an irreversible blunder.
