Afghan forces killed 61 insurgents in their fresh operations

Afghan security forces in their fresh military operations against armed insurgents have killed at least 61 militants including 21 ISIL fighters. According to ministry of defense.

Afghan ministry of defense in a statement updating daily military operations of Afghan forces said, a number of operations were conducted in 13 provinces of the total 34 provinces including Nangarhar, Ghazni, Paktia, Paktika, Kandahar, Oruzgan, Farah, Baghlan, Takhar, Jowzjan, Kunduz, Badakhshan and Helmand that during which 61 armed insurgents were killed and 53 others were wounded.

 

According to the statement, the details of the newest operations are briefed as bellow:

 

In the operations conducted in Marja and Nad-e-Ali district of Helmand, 13 Taliban-linked insurgents including an insurgent local commander were killed.

 

In an operations launched in Musa Khel district of Khost province, at least 13 Taliban-linked insurgents were killed and 19 others were wounded.

 

In the operation conducted in Andar district of Ghazni, 10 Taliban insurgents were killed and 14 other were wounded.

 

During the operation conducted in Achin district of eastern Nangarhar province, 21 loyalists of the Daesh terror group were eliminated and 13 others of these terrorists were wounded.

 

The statement furthered Afghan forces also launched a number of cleanup operations in Serkani district of Kunar province, Barki Barak district of Logar province, Chura district of Oruzgan province and Posht-e-Rud of Farah province that during which, 4 Taliban insurgents including the group’s financial person in charge named Hamidullah were killed and 7 others were wounded.

 

Taliban insurgents have yet to make any comments on the report so far.

 

Ministry of Defence adds in its statement, the during these operation which were conducted to secure Afghan people’s security, 10 Afghan National Army soldiers suffered martyrdom.
