Afghan military base in Logar province targeted by U.S forces  

U.S. forces bombed an Afghan army facility Monday morning in Logar Province in eastern Afghanistan.

An Afghan army facility was targeted by US forces’ bombing in Logar Province in eastern Afghanistan, killing 8 Afghan soldiers and wounding 5 others, the local police told Raha Press.

Muhammad Dawoud Ahmadi says it was a coordination recognising mistake by US forces.

The incident took place in Baraki of ChehlSutun district of Logar province at 07:04 today morning.

Dawoud Ahmadi added the wounded and dead have been transferred to the local hospitals.

A U.S. military official said only, “We are aware of an incident involving U.S. forces in Logar Province this morning, 20 July. This incident is under investigation.”
