Afghanistan defeats Cambodia in World Cup qualifiers

Afghanistan National Football Team in their first match after getting their new head coach Petar Segrt defeated Cambodia by 3-0 on Thursday.

It was Afghanistan’s sixth match in the World Cup qualifiers.

The match was held at the Takhti Stadium in Tehran where at least 3,000 Afghan fans attended.

The goals were scored by Mustafa Zazai, Noorullah Amiri and Khaybar Amani in the 43rd, 79th and 94th minute respectively.

Afghanistan received six points after the win and is fourth in its group.

In the other match of the tournament, Japan defeated their host Singapore by 3-0.
