After two-day visit from Tehran, Abdullah returned Kabul

Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chairman of High Peace Council (HPC) and his accompanying delegation returned to Kabul after a two-day official visit from Islamic Republic of Iran.

 This visit was part of a series of regional trips of the Chairman of the Supreme National Reconciliation Council to the support of the countries of the region for peace efforts in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During this visit, the Chairman of the Supreme National Reconciliation Council met with the President, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Speaker of the Parliament, Minister of Energy, Chairman of the Iran-Afghanistan Joint Economic Commission and Secretary of the National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and discussed the peace in Afghanistan, the Doha talks and bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Dr. Abdullah thanked the warm welcome of the Islamic Republic of Iran and said: “The leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran considers the success of peace in Afghanistan to be in the interest of the region and the world and supports the peace process with the leadership and management of Afghanistan.”
The Chairman of the Supreme National Reconciliation Council appreciated the announcement of the Islamic Republic of Iran to support the peace process in Afghanistan and the continuation of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
