According to a statement released by IEC, the presidential runners will have 60 days to campaign for the upcoming elections.
Meanwhile, Hawa Alam Nurstani, the Chief of the Independent Election Commission told reporters it will become easier for the residents of the country to use their votes to a candidate when they recognize a runner and receive information regarding his programs.
Nurstani further added that the Election Commission has set a 60-day period as per the Elections Law in which the candidates could present their programs and the support of the voters could obtained.
IN the meantime, the Independent Election Commission added in its statement that it instructs the candidates, their supporters, political parties and coalitions to respect the Rule of Law, election campaign bill, regulations, code of conduct and the directives of the election which have been published in the website.
The statement further added that the commission expects Independent Electoral Complains Commission would take actions in the event a violation is committed.
