Conflict between Afghan and Pakistani forces is underway near the Durand Line

The local officials in southeastern Khost province are saying that conflicts are underway between the Afghan and Pakistani forces along the Durand Line near Zazai Maidan district.

“The clash broke out earlier today and the two sides are still engaged in exchange of fire.” Acting provincial police chief Abdul Hanan confirmed. Kaama press reported.

He said the clashes broke out after the Pakistani forces attempted to cross the zero point along the Durand Line and faced resistance from the Afghan forces.

There are no reports regarding the possible casualties as a result of the clashes so far.

The officials in Kabul along with the ministry of defense have not commented regarding the incident so far.
