First flour milling factory opened in southwestern Nimruz province

First flour milling factory with the capacity of manufacturing 35 tonnes per day was inaugurated in southwestern Nimruz province of Afghanistan.

The new flour milling factory is opened by private sector in the province.


During the inauguration ceremony, governor of Nimruz Muhammad Sami said, Government supports private sectors in all areas, and “it is a wonderful news now that every day remarkable steps are taken towards well-being of the economy in small and big businesses.”


“We call on all national traders to avoid importing goods, and instead invest in within Afghanistan so that they could also create job opportunities,” Nimruz governor said.


Haji Torkhan Gargich owner of the milling factory said that he has invested around 60 million Afghanis to build the mill and there are currently 25 employees working there.


The milling factory currently has the capacity of manufacturing 35 tonnes of wheat flour per day and is due to rise it to 100 tonnes per day in future, according to him.


The ceremony was attended by provincial governor along with other officials and elders of the southwestern Nimruz province.
