Following Myanmar’s military brutal act, Badakhshan representative justifies the Taliban behavior

Following Myanmar’s military brutal act in killings of Rohingyas Muslim minority, Badakhshan representative in Afghan parliament justified the Taliban’s move for destroying the Buddha idols in central Bamyan province when they used to rule the country.

Badakhshan representative in Afghan parliament Amanullah Payman has said that the most valuable thing the Taliban group did was to destroy the “filthy Buddha Idols” in central Bamyan province.

Mr. Payman on his Facebook page justified the Taliban move for destroying the Buddha idols in Bamyan after reports emerged that the Buddhist-dominant Myanmar’s military has brutally killed Muslim minority of Rohingyas in the country and forced them out to seek refuge in neighboring Bangladesh.

“I suggest that the remnants of the Buddha idols in Bamyan province be flattened. We don’t want to have any incomes by the name of the most notorious human kind on earth and by welcoming their statues.” Payman said.

He also wrote that the Buddha and his followers are the enemies of human beings.

The Taliban group destroyed the Buddha idols in central Bamyan province when they used to rule the country, but after US invasion and the Taliban fall, several domestic and foreign entities decided to rebuild them.

Officials believe the Buddha idols in Bamyan can attract tourists from around the world and be a source of income for the country.

Payman said “we put away discussing the issue of being Muslims; while Buddha followers are killing thousands of human beings, our spies are thinking of having income from the Buddha idols.”

He added that “the thoughts and philosophy of our religion was to respect other religion, but the Buddha followers crossed all borders.”
