In the meeting, Ataullah Khan Hairan and head of the Pakistan Awami National Party Asfandyar Wali Khan briefed related to the two-day Afghan Peace Conference.
Asfandyar Wali Khan stressed that peace talks should be led and owned by Afghanistan government.
Afterwards, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani spoke and said that war had no borders as the continued imposed war has harmed the people living in both sides of the Durand Line.
“The continued war is a principle obstacle towards stability, tranquility and development; therefore, the people of the both sides of Durand Line should put an end to the war and work for the dignified peace and stability,” President Ghani said.
The country’s President said that in his recent visit to Pakistan, he told Pakistani officials that Pakistan should stretch honestly friendly hands to Afghanistan and act upon its promises if wanted to overcome poverty and lack of energy and catastrophes.Read 28 times
