Hamid Karzai participated in 7th Moscow ISC

Former president Hamid Karzai participated in the 7th Moscow International Security Conference on Wednesday morning.

Former Afghan president Hamid Karzai in Moscow ISC questioned the US intelligence and military presence in Afghanistan while Daesh (ISIL/ISIS) emerged in the country.

“Afghanistan has turned into intelligence race among some regional and world countries,” Karzai emphasized.

In addition to the Russian authorities, numerous delegations from all over the world had attended the meeting.
In a statement Hamid Karzai said that Afghanistan has been the victim of extremism and terrorism, which is used as a means for a number of states to reach their goals.

He also questioned the rise of Daesh in the country despite the intelligence and military presence of the United States.

The former president rejected the military and bombardment of houses and villages of civilians and considered peace and inter-Afghan talks as the only way out of current disastrous status.

Hamid Karzai also emphasized that Afghanistan should become the field of cooperation among various countries, not the field of rivalries and conflicts.
