Indian police confiscates Afghan heroin worth nearly $1.5 million

Indian police arrested an international drug cartel and recovered Afghan heroin worth of nearly $1.5 million.

According to India today, the drug cartel involves a Nigerian national and two Indians from Punjab.

According to the source, a team of Special Cell of Delhi Police busted an international drug cartel and arrested three persons. The arrested trio has been identified as Surinder Kumar, Denny Kumar and John Bosco and recovered 2.5 kg Afghan heroin.

According to the police, the seized heroin is worth around Rs 10 crore nearly $1.5 million in the international market.

Police said that the members of this cartel have been procuring heroin from Afghanistan and Pakistan and supplying it further to drug peddlers in Delhi, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.
