Ayman al-Zawahiri and Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi are apparently so full of hate that they even hate each another.
Al-Zawahiri took over from Osama bin Laden as the head of al Qaeda, al-Baghdadi is the “caliph” of Islamic State, the man behind its butchery and horrors.
But a new audio tape from al Qaeda labelled Baghdadi a traitor and an imposter and confirmed the two organizations are “irreconcilably” at odds with one another.
The dispute dates to ISIL’s days as the al Qaeda branch in Iraq. It split away two years ago and al Qaeda is still mad at Baghdadi for trying to lure away its terrorists for his own camp.
Also, it says, ISIL doesn’t do enough for fellow Muslims in Gaza and in Pakistan.
Oddly, al-Zawahiri said he still gets along fine with Mullah Omar, head of the equally vicious Taliban. Except Omar died some time back, which suggests the tape was recorded several months ago.
