NPC Approves 4 Contracts Costing 2.414 Billion Afg

Chaired by Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, weekly session of the National Procurement Commission (NPC) was held at the Presidential Palace Saturday.

 

In the session attended by Second Vice-President, Sarwar Danesh, Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah and ministers of economy, finance and justice, the commission discussed and reviewed 13 contracts relevant to ministries of energy and water, finance, public works, rural rehabilitation and development, public health, foreign affairs and counter-narcotics, Kabul Municipality and Brishna Shirkat.

After reviewing the contracts, the commission approved only four contracts relevant to Kabul municipality, ministries of public health, public works and Brishna Shirkat with total cost of 2.414 billion afg.

In the session, suggestion for modification of five contracts were also approved, while one contract was rejected, three others were repaired for addressing technical problems and the other one was referred to the commission’s next session.

Meanwhile, construction of the second part of streets relevant to 8th district of Kabul city and construction of Grishk road of Helmand were among contracts.

It is worth mentioning that during its 18 sessions, NPC has so far approved 250 contracts costing 43.7 billion Afg so far.
