Pakistan suspends repatriation of Afghan refugees from 30 Nov

Pakistan has decided to suspend repatriation process of Afghan refugees from 30 November until February next year, according to UNHCR.

According to United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR), the Afghan refugees possessing the proof of registration (POR) cards would be allowed to stay in Pakistan.

According to details, those refugees who have registered for return in November will not be affected from this schedule and they may proceed according to their plans.

However, the new registrations will be suspended from 7th November.

People still wishing to return to Afghanistan according to their own arrangements during this period will not get financial aid of 400 USD from the UNHCR and 50 USD from the Afghan government.
