Qurban Hagju to take office in AISA—Afghanistan Investment Support Agency

Mohammad Qurban Hagju took office today in Afghanistan Investment Support Agency (AISA), after he was appointed by Ministry of Trade and Commerce.

Hagju has been proposed for the post by Chief Executive of the government, Dr. Abdullah, and received the approval letter from President Ghani earlier.

He was the head of Afghanistan’s Chamber of Commerce before taking the new office.

Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah appreciated Hagju’s sincere efforts in his previous office and boosting economy of Afghanistan.

Dr. Abdullah considered Mr. Hagju’s appointment as appropriate.

“AISA office needs fundamental revision, and it is hoped with the new appointment of the United National Government, necessary changes should soon happen.” Abdullah said.

Qurban Hagju also called on the government’s leaders to fully support and assist AISA.

Weeks ago, ministry of trade had appointed someone else for the post, but some disputes raised over the appointment.

AISA is an agency supporting domestic and foreigners’ investments in Afghanistan.
