Roadside bomb kills at least 7 civilians in Parwan

Roadside bomb planted by militants hit a vehicle killing at least 7 civilians in Parwan province, local officials say.

Local officials in Sayed-Khel district of Parwan province say the incident took place when a vehicle carrying civilians was heading toward northeastern Kapisa province hit a roadside bomb planted by militants.

A spokesperson for the district governor of Sayed-Khel Ahmad Lemar Usman Yar, said a civilian vehicle which was heading for northeastern Kapisa province to attend a wedding ceremony hit on Tuesday a roadside bomb.

The incident took place at around 11 a.m. local time in Mulla Sher Jan area of the Sayed-Khel district.

“At least 7 civilian lost their lives in the blast.” Said Usman Yar, adding that police has gone to the area to investigate the incident.

No insurgent groups including Taliban has taken responsibility of the incident.
