Russia hands over military aid to Tajikistan to strengthen border with Afghanistan

Russia delivered military and technical assistance aimed at strengthening the border with Afghanistan, reports Russian Embassy in Dushanbe.

The support has been provided within the implementation of decisions of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states on strengthening Tajik-Afghan state border which was adopted in 2013.

Today the CSTO Secretary-General, Nikolay Bordyuzha, will arrive in Dushanbe on three-day working visit.

Nikolay Bordyuzha will discuss provision of military-technical assistance for strengthening Tajik-Afghan border.

The aid of the Defense Ministry of Russia belongs to Tajik law enforcement agencies participating in the fight against terrorist threats from the side of Afghan territory.
