Security forces surrounded by insurgents in Warduj of Badakhshan

More than two hundred Afghan security forces have been surrounded by Taliban insurgents in Warduj district of Badakhshan, acting provincial governor Shah Wali Ullah Adib said.

Afghan security forces are fighting against the Taliban militants in Teergardan area of Warduj district since three days, Adib said.

He warned death threats, if central government failed to take immediate actions at the earliest.

Warduj is one of the volatile districts in Badakhshan province where insurgents are trying to take the control of the district usually by performing offensive attacks.
