Suicide attack kills 6, wounds 9 in Paktika

A suicide bomber detonated his explosive in eastern province of Paktika, leaving six people killed and wounding nine others.

Local official says the incident took place at around 11:30 am in Yahyakhil District in front of a baker.

The officials add that the apparent target of the suicide bomber was Musa Khan Kharotai, the district governor, who just drove through the area before the blast took place.

They say all the victims of the incident are civilians.

No group including Taliban has yet to take responsibility of the attack.

A few hours earlier in Mazar-i-Sharif capital of Balkh province, a suicide car bomber hit a minibus of Afghan National Army, leaving three Army soldiers killed and wounding 20 others.
