Tajikistan receives humanitarian aid from Afghanistan, Austria

Tajikistan has received humanitarian aid worth $22.7 million from 34 countries in seven months of this year, according to Avesta.

According to the Statistics Agency of the country, humanitarian aid worth 9,600 tons (flour, butter, oil, medicines and medical supplies and others) was received by Tajikistan during the reporting period.

In July 2015, Tajikistan received $1.7 million.

The biggest share of the humanitarian aid was received from

  • Germany – 37%,
  • Netherlands – 12.8%,
  • Denmark – 8.7%,
  • UAE – 7.7%,
  • Austria and Afghanistan – 4%,
  • India – 3.4%,
  • Latvia – 3%,
  • China and Iran – by 2.2%,
  • Kuwait – 2.1%,
  • France – 1.8%,
  • Norway – 1.2%,

and others.
