Taliban attacks on a voter registration center in Badghsi, killing 6 soldiers

Afghan local official in western Basghgis province said that the Taliban militants attacked a voter registration center in the province and killed at least 6 policemen.

A member of provincial council of Badghis, Mohammad Nasir Nazari said that attack took place late last night in Qala Naw city of Badghis province in which six Afghan army forces were martyred.

Nazari confirmed the martyred were guards to a voter registration center in the city.

Elsewhere in the province, another Taliban attack on a security check-post in Ghades district of the province, left four policemen were killed.

This comes as the upper of house of Parliament has summoned interior minister Waid Ahmad Barmak over security concerns in voter registration centers throughout the country.

A suicide bomber struck a voter registration center in west of Kabul city, killing at least 69 people and wounding 120 others.
