Taliban cut the power transition line to Kabul

Taliban insurgents cut a power transition line which transmits the electricity from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to Kabul.

Northern Baghlan provincial Police has said that Taliban insurgents cut a power transition line which transmits the electricity from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to Afghanistan.

Police said the incident took place around last midnight in “Dushi” district of the province.

The insurgents first cut the power pylon using a saw, then detonated it.

According to reports, some parts of provinces including some parts of capital Kabul now are in dark.

Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, Afghanistan’s electricity directorate has confirmed the incident and said their engineers are trying to fix the problem but have yet to reach the area.
