Taliban rejected the 10 kidnapping allegation in Jawzjan

According to an official, Taliban militants have kidnapped 10 tribal elders in the Dayan district of northwestern Jawzjan province however the insurgents rejected the allegation.

Deputy police chief Col. Abdul Hafeez Khashi said that the incident took place on the outskirt of Dayan district late Sunday night, The tribal elders were abducted by supporters of a notorious militant commander named Mullah Jabbar.

He also added that in order to resolve the issue peacefully A number of elders from the locality had been sent to local Taliban.

“The fighters had not abducted the elders as the militant group had no issue with common residents.” Taliban group spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed.

He believed some other individuals might have committed the crime to defame the Taliban. Mujahid promised they would try to find out who the kidnappers were.
