Thousands rally through Kabul streets carrying coffins of the beheaded bodies

Thousands of angry citizens belonging to different tribes of Afghanistan came on Wednesday in Kabul streets to stage a protest to condemn the killing of the seven civilians in southern Zabul province.

The protesters started their rally from “Shahid Mazai Mosque” in Dasht-e-Barchi area of Kabul and are now moving towards the Presidential Palace “ARG” where they will urge government to drag the perpetrators of the atrocity to judiciary.

“Taliban commit crime, ARG support them”, read the banners that the protesters are holding.

The seven civilians were kidnapped from Gilan District of southeastern Ghazni province and their dead bodies were recovered from Khak-e-Afghan District of southern Zabul province on Sunday.

The dead bodies of two women, a child and four men returned to Ghazni have been delivered to Kabul.

Protesters are carrying the dead bodies in coffins and shout slogans “Death to Taliban, Death to Daesh”.

They also criticize government for failing to secure citizens.
