Traffic incident leaves 4 dead in Kunduz/ victims are parliament speaker’s relatives

Local officials in Kunduz say a traffic incident in Imam Saheb district of northern Kunduz province left 4 people dead and 7 others wounded.

They say in the incident, Imam Saheb’s police district chief Amanullah Ibrahimi’s mother and 3 of his family members were killed whom they all are believed to be relatives of Afghan parliament speaker Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi.

Kunduz provincial police spokesman Hijratullah Akbari told Raha that the incident took place in Dasht-e-Azadigan area near to Imam Saheb district when mother of Amanullah Ibrahimi, Imam Saheb district police chief along with some other of his family members were on their way toward Imam Saheb district.

Akbari further said that high speed of the car was the main cause to the incident.
