Twin blasts in capital Kabul killed at least 10 people

Afghan officials say twin bombings near the Defense Ministry in the capital have killed at least 10 people.

Afghan interior ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqi confirmed that at least ten people lost their lives as a result of the twin blats and 30 others were injured.

The incident took place at around 02:30 just outside Afghan defense ministry in capital Kabul and was followed by a suicide attack believed to have targeted first explosion scene.

The first explosion was remotely detonated, while the second one was a suicide attacker who blew himself up wearing Police uniform.

Afghan president Mohammad Asharf Ghani condemned the incident and said enemies of Afghanistan have lost dares to face Afghan forces on the battleground and instead launch attack on public places such as cities, mosques, and so…

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said his group had carried out the attack.
