Afghan forces in continuation of their daily operations against insurgents have killed dozens of armed militants including two insurgents’ local commanders along with two Uzbek nationals and one Punjabi insurgents, according to ministry of defense.
According to a statement released by Afghan ministry of defence updating Afghan forces’ daily operations, these forces have conducted a variety of operations in 13 provinces of Afghanistan’s 34 provinces in past 24 hours, that during which a number of insurgents including two insurgents’ commanders along with three foreign national insurgents were killed and 29 others were wounded.
The ministry of defence in its statement brief detailed the newest operations of Afghan forces as follows:
In an operation conducted in Raghistan district of Badakhshan province, 26 insurgents were killed and 4 others were wounded.
In Posht-e-Rud district of Farah province, 18 insurgents including two of their commanders Mullah Hamza and Mullah Sadeqh were killed and 23 others were wounded.
In Aqha district of Logar province, 11 Taliban-linked insurgents were killed and some amount of weapons was confiscated.
Moreover, during cleanup operations jointly conducted by Afghan national army and police, 7 insurgents were killed in Andar district of Ghazni province and two were wounded, 3 insurgents were killed in Chamkani district of Paktia province and 4 others including three foreign national insurgents were killed in Shah-Joy district of southern Zabul province.
Ministry of Defense adds in its statement, that 9 National Army soldiers suffered martyrdom during these recent operations.
