11 Kabul district police chiefs removed by the interior minister

11 district police chiefs in capital Kabul dismissed by Afghanistan’s Interior Ministry.

The new ones were appointed to these posts.
General Khoshal Sadat, deputy interior minister for security affairs, said that the officials were unable to fulfil their duties professionally.

He said that the current situation of the city is not acceptable.

He also said that if the newly appointed police chiefs don’t change the “status quo” in 90 days, they will be fired too.

The decision comes following a mortar attack on a high-profile political gathering in the capital last Thursday that killed at least 11 people and wounded nearly a hundred.
