2 security guards of a voter registration center killed in Nangarhar
Local officials in eastern Nangarhar province said that two security guards of a voter registration center in provincial capital Jalalabad were killed by unknown gunmen.
According to officials, at around 08:00 pm, the gunmen riding a motor-cycle gunned down two security personnel of the voter registration center in 5th police district of the city.
They didn’t elaborate on who the attackers were or if they are arrested.
This comes as unknown gunmen believed to be linked to the Taliban kidnapped three employees of another voter registration center in Ghor along with two policemen on last Tuesday.
However, militants released the abducted on Thursday after local elders negotiated with them, according to Iqbal Nizami a spokesman for provincial police.
