350 addicts returned to their families after a 40-day addiction treatment period

Speaking at a ceremony held at the Amanullah Ghazi Hall in Herat on Saturday he also said that the 40-day period of quitting addiction is a good step to help addicts come back to their clean lives.
Mowlavi Shirahmad Ammar Mohajer, the deputy governor of the Taliban in Herat, appreciating the efforts of the officials of the Union of Addiction Treatment Centers, expressed hope that the ominous phenomenon of addiction to be eradicated from the country.
He also called on businessmen and investors in Herat province to cooperate more with the government and addiction treatment camps.
Mullah Juma Khan Saleh, head of the addicts` collection department in Herat province, also said efforts will be increased to collect and treat addicts due to the coming winter.
He said collecting addicts from the city, keeping and treating them could improve the community image.
