36 insurgents including 15 ISIS loyalists killed in fresh raids

At least 36 armed insurgents including 16 loyalists of the ISIS in Afghanistan were killed during fresh raids, security officials said.

Afghan ministry of defence in a statement said that Afghan forces have conducted a number of military operations in at least 18 provinces, that during which 36 armed insurgents including 15 loyalists of the ISIS were killed and a number of others were wounded.

The recent operations were conducted with the support of Afghan Air Force and artillery units.

Ministry of defence in its statement briefed the operations as follows:

During the operations conducted in Gheysar, Khaja Sabz Push and Shirin Tagab districts of northern Faryab province, at least 11 Taliban linked insurgents were killed and 23 others were wounded, while 15 loyalists of the ISIS were killed during an operation in Achin district of eastern Nangarhar province.

Four insurgents were killed in Kharwar and Baraki Barak districts of Logar province.

Moreover, a total of 6 armed militants were killed during a number of other operations conducted in Ghani Khel district of Nangarhar, Chak district of Maidan Wardak, Nadir Shah Kot district of Khost, Shah Joy district of Zabul, Kashk Kuhna district of Herat and Bala Buluk district of Farah province.

No armed insurgent groups including Taliban have commented on the report.
