8 ISIS group members arrested in Kabul

The Afghan Intelligence, National Directorate of Security (NDS) announced that the Afghan security forces succeeded in arresting at least eight group members of the ISIS terrorist group in Kabul.

According to a NDS statement, the ISIS group members were arrested during separate operations conducted in various parts of the capital.

The statement further added that the militants were busy recruiting militants for the terror group besides plotting attacks.

According to NDS, the detained individuals have been identified as Javid, Bilal, Sediqullah, Qudrullah, Ikramhullah, Mohibullah, and Ali Ahmad.

The detained individuals have confessed that they were involved in various terrorist-related activities in the capital, including plotting attacks and hiring militants for the ISIS ranks.

In the meantime, NDS said the detained individuals were also collecting funds for the terror group besides carrying out targeted assassinations.

The ISIS loyalists and other militant and terrorist groups have not commented regarding the report so far.
