Afghan lawmaker Sadeghizada Neli managed to escape Taliban captivity nine hours after he was kidnapped in one of the relatively volatile provinces of Afghanistan close to capital Kabul.

Nasrullah Sadeqizada Neli representing central Daikundi province in the Afghan parliament was abducted from the restive Maidan Wardak province.

Another individual accompanying the lawmaker was also abducted by Taliban militants from Jalrez district.
