Afghanistan, Japan agree to boost parliamentary ties

Afghanistan’s Ambassador to Japan Shaida Abdali has met Tadamori Oshima, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan, and discussed parliamentary and legislative relationship between the two nations.

“They discussed various areas of bilateral relations between Afg. & Japan and stressed the need to enhance cooperation between legislative bodies of the two countries through resuming the activities of Japan-Afghanistan Parliamentary Friendship Group.”

“They also exchanged views on the withdrawal of international forces from Afghanistan and touched upon other important issues including the ongoing peace process in Afghanistan and ways Japan can contribute to its success and the need for continuation of development efforts in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of international troops”
