Afghanistan inked five Memorandums of Understating (MoUs) with Turkmenistan on Thursday.

The MoUs were signed by representatives of both neighboring countries in Presidential Palace in front of Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and his counterpart from Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.
According to these MoUs Afghanistan and Turkmenistan will improve bilateral cooperation in areas of energy, sport, technology and trade.
This comes during the state visit of Turkmenistan’s President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow to Kabul.
Mr. Berdimuhamedow arrived in Kabul on Thursday morning leading a high level delegation from his country.
President Ghani and other high ranking government officials gave a warm welcome to the delegation from Turkmenistan at the Presidential Palace.
