Ahmad Andisha appointed as deputy foreign minister for administrative affairs

The Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) on Sunday officially announced the appointment of Nasir Ahmad Andisha as the deputy foreign minister for administrative affairs.

The announcement was made by the Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani during a special ceremony held at MoFA.

“Dr. Nasir Ahmad is among the prominent and well-known young diplomats of the country who has made his way to this post by having strong potential and capability,” Rabbani said.

“On the basis of my knowledge about his capability, I recommended him to the president in order to bring more effective reforms to the ministry of foreign affairs,” he added.

Addressing the ceremony, the former deputy minister of foreign affairs Atiqullah Atif highlighted the administrative and budgetary issues facing MoFA. He stressed the need for efforts in removing administrative issues and budget deficit problems with the country’s diplomatic institutions.

“When these two issues exist in an institution, it is quite difficult to continue the job successfully,” he said.

Andisha was born in Kabul in 1978 and obtained a bachelor’s degree in law and political science from the Kabul University. He was the former Ambassador of Afghanistan to Austrlia.
