Airstrikes target terrorists in Kunduz, 40 killed and wounded

Afghan air crafts targeted terrorists in northern Kunduz province where at least 24 Taliban insurgents were killed and 17 others were wounded.

Afghan ministry of defense released a statement today and said as a result of air strikes conducted by Afghan Air Force on insurgents’ hideouts in northern Kunduz province, at least 24 Taliban militants were killed and 17 others were wounded.

The statement adds that 6 fortresses of the enemies have also been destroyed in the strikes.

According to the statement, Afghan forces have also confiscated at least 18 land mines and 4 vehicles of the enemies.

Taliban has yet to make any comment regarding the report.

Kunduz province in north is among volatile provinces of Afghanistan where has twice been fallen to the hands of Taliban since foreign forces left the country.
