All girls can return to schools from Saturday: Taliban
Local Taliban officials in western Herat province said that all girls can now return to schools from Saturday.

A high ranking Taliban official told Raha Press reporter in Herat province in condition of anonymity that according to a new decision made by Taliban leaders, all girls may now return to their schools from Saturday.
He added that “though girls’ schools have been unofficially open for the past four days in the province, they can now resume their activities from Saturday officially.”
He didn’t further on the news.
It is not yet clear whether the decision made is only for Herat province or other girls throughout Afghanistan can now resume their studies.
Abdul Qodus Yasin Zada the general director for a private chain of schools in Herat told Raha Press that the order has been given orally and no official letter has been issued regarding the decision yet.
However, he added that efforts are being made as for the decision shall not be temporary for girls’ schools.
Since the Taliban takeover of the country, schoolgirls above the sixth grade have not been allowed to go to schools.
