An ex-public uprising commander arrested by Taliban in Takhar after returning from Panjshir

Commander Taher belongs to Uzbek race. He led uprising force against Taliban and then fought against Taliban as member of the anti-Taliban National Resistance Front in Panjshir.  

 Having returned from Panjshir, an ex-public uprising commander was arrested by Taliban in Takhar.

Local sources in Kalafgan city in Takhar said an ex-public uprising commander was arrested and tortured by Taliban in Takhar.

The detainee commander, named Taher, along with eighteen of his fellow had escaped and joined the anti-Taliban National Resistance Front in Panjshir after the fall of Takhar by Taliban said a source in condition of anonymity.  

 Believing in Taliban public amnesty, commander Taher had put his gun down and returned to his hometown in Takhar when he was arrested and tortured.

Taliban yet to comment on the incident.
