Local officials of power station in western Badghis province say the electricity supply to this province has been reconnected after five days.

Power Directorate of Badghis province said in a statement on Wednesday that the electricity supply to the province was cut off some five days ago due to some technical issues at a sub-station in Qala-Now district of the province.

The technical issue has been resolved after a team of technical support from Herat joined a similar team of the province, the statement added.

Badghis electricity supply is mostly imported from Turkmenistan to whom the Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (Afghanistan electricity supplying company) owes a huge debts.
