FIFA: Afghan footballer banned for life over match-fixing
Mohammad Salim Israfeel Kohistani, a former captain of Afghanistan national football team, has been banned for life after he was found guilty of match manipulation FIFA said on Wednesday.

Kohistani was among eight current and former players who were issued life-time ban for their involvement in a match manipulation following an investigation that lasted several years.
The sanction means they cannot take part in any kind of football-related activity at both national and international level for life.
Kohistani became a member of the senior team of Afghanistan in 2005 and has appeared in 27 matches. The 31-year-old captained the team during 2010-2011.
