The fire broke out in the early hours of Saturday morning with local officials saying that it is extending.

A major fire broke out at a fuel reservoir in the customs office of Farah province west of Afghanistan on Saturday morning, officials confirmed, saying that four fuel trucks have been damaged and the fire is extending, the provincial governor Taj Mohammad Safi said.

The governor said efforts have started to extinguish the fire in the Abu Nasr Farahi town that lies on the border with Iran.

This comes after a major fire at the customs office of Islam Qala border town in Herat in which over 1,000 trucks were damaged.
