floods in Parwan killed dozens
Floods brought by heavy rains have killed at least 30 people in Afghanistan’s central Parwan province, officials said

Twenty more were injured and 300 homes were damaged, the country’s State Ministry for Disaster Management and Humanitarian Affairs said.
Floods are a common occurrence in Afghanistan. The country has little infrastructure, such as ditches and sewers, to manage water run-off from rain or melting snow.
